As a part of the first inquiry in PBL, students of Grade IV learnt about adaptation through a knot activity. The teacher instructed the students to wear socks on their palms during the activity. They were challenged to knot a rope without using their thumb. They were enlightened with the fact that the journey from apes to humans was accompanied by a lot of changes and over time humans adapted to their surroundings.
