Pre-writing skills are the fundamental skills children need to develop before they are ready to write. These skills contribute to the child’s ability to hold and use a pencil. On this note, we conducted a few activities with our Nursery kids such as scribbling to make the children comfortable with a tripod grip. Sand tracing, air tracing and water tracing for fine motor skills development, and tracing with finger and fingerprinting activities to help develop their eye-hand coordination. Such activities also enhance the sensory skills as children get to feel different textures. It was good to see children enjoying the feel of sand and paint and their enthusiasm had no limits.
