During the Global Perspectives class, on 2nd July, the learners were engaged in an animated story version of the book Handa’s Surprise by Eileen Browne. The story gave them an insight about a child who lives in Kenya in Africa who had a surprise one day and portrayed how different it might be to grow up in that country.
The story encouraged the students to think about cultural differences and to further analyze and reflect upon the ways in which Handa’s childhood is different from their own.
