Learners of Stage 5 under the Global Perspective Challenge “Powering our Lives” performed a play on “Should we build a new power station?” The learners were divided into two groups, one that supported building the power station and the other that opposed it. Each group researched the pros and cons of building a power station and then argued their case to the council.
The role play was a great opportunity for them to learn more about the challenges of energy production. This also helped them to develop their critical thinking skills as they weighed the pros and cons of building a power station.
