DIY Catapult
Learners of Stage 3 made a catapult using the materials given to them in class.
Building a catapult is as easy as putting together a few popsicle sticks with rubber bands and adding a spoon. As learners took on the task, they developed a deeper understanding of the concept – how the potential energy builds up when you press the spoon with the payload in it. And when the spoon is released, that potential energy gets converted into kinetic energy which supplies all it needs to fling the payload far away.
