This week the children of Jr. KG and Sr. KG emphasised on a play-based approach of learning the personal goals of IEYC through the ongoing theme “Once upon a time”. In continuation to the classroom teaching, different activities involving puzzles, wooden blocks, shapes, paper and cup games were planned to embed the goal of thoughtfulness. The enthusiastic participation of children understanding the rules, following teachers’ instructions and collaborative work was worth watching. Children also extended their learning of the goal, adaptability through a music and dance activity. All the students accepted the changing situation, not only adapted themselves to dance on different sizes of newspapers but also continuously exhibited cooperation and teamwork. By encouraging our children to use their imagination today, we’re helping prepare them for the world of tomorrow.
