World of shapes
Stage 1 learners were enthusiastic to share and discuss their newfound knowledge, focusing on 3D shapes found in their classroom on 9th January. Learners delighted in constructing 3D models using magnetic tile toys. This engaging activity not only sparked excitement but also allowed young minds to grasp the identification of vertices and edges in 3D shapes such as cubes, pyramids, and cuboids. Building on this hands-on experience, they further enriched their understanding with a school trip aimed at exploring the practical applications of 2D and 3D shapes in their immediate environment. This journey into the ‘World of Shapes’ not only made learning enjoyable but also provided a tangible connection between mathematical concepts and the world around them.
