Embarking on a school excursion on Tuesday, the 5th of December to the Birla Science Museum was a voyage that melded education with fascination. The exploration commenced amidst towering replicas of the Earth and other planets, igniting the learners’ curiosity for the cosmos. The museum’s corridors became portals to various scientific realms, each exhibit a portal to discovery.
Various sections presented an amazing set of exhibits, each dedicated to a specialised field – Science, Archaeology and Dolls Museum, Nobel Gallery, Antarctica Diorama, NRSA, Dvaraka Diorama and Dinosaurium.
Our young scientists got smitten the most by the Interactive Science Centre. Physics laws, mechanics, perception, vibration and sounds, energy and motors, electricity and magnetism and concepts of optical illusions intrigued them the most. At Dinosaurium, the rare collection of fossils of the Dinosaur filled the children with awe.
The trip left an indelible mark, instilling a deeper appreciation among the students for science’s marvels. It wasn’t just a journey through exhibits; it was a collective awakening of their scientific spirits.
