On January 30th, our Grade I students gathered for another captivating read-aloud session. Excited readers delved into the enchanted realm of books and stories as we explored the book “Frog is Frog” to connect with character analysis skills. Using a variety of strategies such as ‘I can imagine,’ ‘turn and talk,’ ‘show thumbs when ready,’ and ‘gather together,’ learners immersed themselves in the world of the story. Through techniques like visualization and predicting, we encouraged them to utilize their imagination and critical thinking abilities. Reading aloud not only fosters a love of reading but also provides an excellent opportunity for quality time together.
