Investiture Ceremony
Leadership is about personal growth and, as a leader, fostering the growth of others. The meticulous student council selection process at the Cambridge wing comprised three rounds. In the initial stage, Stage 7 students articulated SMART goals for School Captaincy and designed logos. The election campaign featured compelling speeches, and on 11 December, a discreet Google form vote determined the leaders. Aneesh Menon emerged as the CambridgeSchool Captain.
In an innovative approach, other leadership roles were assigned through a chit-drawing process. The investiture ceremony on 15th December marked the formation of the Prefectorial Board from Stage 7. The event blended tradition and modernity, featuring a prayer song, dance performance, and compering by Stage 6 students. Wing Commander Zubair Sheikh Retd. graced the ceremony as Chief Guest. The oath of office was administered, and leaders, in academic regalia, received badges and sashes. Aneesh Menon, in his acceptance speech, expressed commitment. Chief Guest’s inspiring speech and Ms. Rakhee Menon’s talk added to the ceremony. Principal Ms. Deepa Kapoor emphasized responsibility and urged leaders to be role models. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the School Song.
