“We are challenged to develop a world perspective. No individual can live alone, no nation can live alone, and anyone who feels can live alone is sleeping through a revolution. The world in which we live is geographically one.”- Martin Luther King
The Cambridge learners of Suchitra Academy International School kick started the New Year by celebrating COGNITO – Interschool GP Challenge on the 5th of January, 2022 with great enthusiasm and zeal. The event aimed at providing a platform for the learners of CAIE Stages 5 and 6 to present their Global Perspective challenge, taken up as a team project. Several renowned schools across Telangana and Vijayawada participated in the event. The process was very simple and smooth. Learners worked as a team to identify a challenge, related to one of the programme topics that they would like to improve, change or resolve. They explored personal, local and global perspectives of this challenge. The team then conducted research on their challenge which was used to set a goal to improve, change or resolve the challenge. Then they agreed on a course of action to be taken to achieve this goal. This course of action was communicated in the Evidence of Action. Once the team had implemented the course of action, the learners in each team worked collaboratively to complete a Team Report. The team also came up with Personal Reflection. The TEAM REPORT, EVIDENCE OF ACTION and PERSONAL REFLECTION was evaluated by the Judges and marked according to the criteria and rubrics specified by the CAIE. We got to witness some brilliant presentations by the young learners. It was definitely a program worth watching.

The occasion was graced by the two eminent and inspiring judges Ms Ruchira Ghosh, Principal, Sancta Maria International School, Hyderabad and Ms. Geetha Jayanth, a renowned educator. Ms. Ruchira has over 20 years of experience in the school education sector in diverse areas including School Leadership, International Education Management, Business Development, Marketing and Communications and Project Management.
