During the inaugural Knowledge Fair 2023-24, Grade X C students presented a captivating dramatized adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s classic short story, “The Necklace,” which is a part of the Grade X English NCERT textbook. With expert guidance from the mentors, students added their unique twists and turns, infused humour and surprises, and incorporated songs and dances into their performances. The result was a stellar showcase that thoroughly captivated the audience. The role-play aimed to mirror a typical English classroom experience, encompassing elements such as role-playing, identifying the lesson’s theme, character analysis, and immersing oneself in the story’s world. This essence was brilliantly carried throughout the play, resulting in an enthralling show that left the audience thoroughly entertained and mesmerized.
