“Did you watch Harry Potter and Dangal?” – The answer to this question was unanimous, ‘YES’. Students of Grade – III were excited to share their experiences of watching the movie. Many of them already knew that ‘Harry Potter’ was purely an imaginary story as nowhere on earth existed a land with such weird and funny creatures. On the other hand, they also thought that ‘Dangal’ was a fictitious story. Using the thinking tool – Used to think. Now I think they have a clear idea of fictional and nonfictional texts. They could also differentiate between the two texts using a few tips. It was an interesting class as they were now able to identify the category of their favourite books.
