Students of Grade III embarked on the novel-reading program with the novel, ‘Shah Jahan and the Ruby Robber’. They were fascinated as the teachers read the story to them. Students used the thinking routine, ‘I see, I think, I wonder’ and made their interpretations of the book cover. Also, they made their interpretations of the character traits of Shah Jahan as the chapters were read. Unravelling the mystery to find the ruby has still kept the readers hooked.
