Teaching kids about personal safety is as important as teaching them to read. But it’s not enough to talk about “stranger danger.” Experts now encourage parents to teach their kids about ‘stranger safety.’ And that includes staying safe around adults they know and don’t know. Children must know who to confide in if they are abused physically and be courageous to speak up when needed.
Pre-primary teachers performed a skit to make the children understand about what exactly safety means. It was a recorded video shown on both online and offline platforms. The main emphasis on the skit was to make children aware of ‘Self Protection’. They were explained what a good touch or a bad touch is, stranger danger and abuse. The session ended with interaction with children, where children actively expressed their understanding of safety.
