The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it. One of the best ways to teach the concept of sustainability is to allow children to experience practical activities that reinforce the core principles of sustainability – to understand how our actions impact the earth and the coming generations. In our present inquiry of PBL for Grade V, ‘How to get back to our roots? – a mantra for gen-next. The students understood the concept of sustainability and found different ways to achieve the goal of sustainability. During the inquiry, we conducted many activities related to this topic, and one of them was to make DIY using waste materials present at home. The students came up with many creative ideas and made different things that can be used in our daily life.
