Stage 1 learners were introduced to the lesson – Parts of a plant with the help of a nature walk wherein learners were led into a discussion about what they think plants are, where they can be found, and the different parts of a plant. They explored a range of familiar flowering plants, herbs, shrubs, climbers, cacti, etc. in the Suchitra campus and recognized major parts of the plant (roots, stem, leaves, and flower) later on after taking a closer look at the plants the students recorded their findings by simple observational drawings and labelling parts of the plant in their notebook.
