Debate competitions help students develop self-expression and are very influential as they help to boost their confidence, remove the fear of speaking in public, develop critical thinking, and learn how to think and communicate under pressure. Our debate club gives an equal opportunity to enhance these skills on a weekly basis. The participants were selected and the motion of the debate was set – ‘Computers should replace teachers”. Few participants of Grade X argued for the motion and few against the motion. The audience highly appreciated the debate. At the end of the debate, the students of Grades VIII and IX were put to vote. The team led by Haribol won the debate.
