It takes more than knowledge and practice to change a novice into an expert. Students become aware of the information being fed into their brains by their senses. This means not just ‘seeing’ but consciously observing, not just hearing but actively ‘listening’, etc. On 12th July students of Grade XA used a Y Chart thinking tool to think about environments from three perspectives- Looks like … Sounds like …Feels like …for the lesson “Making of a Scientist” which got the students thinking in-depth about concepts and situations because through this activity they moved from the concrete to the abstract. It encouraged them to produce a range of adjectives that can define and scope a concept.
