On February 15, Grade II students were engaged in practical lessons regarding solid and plane shapes, moulding clay into various shapes and examining items with various shapes.

Learning about shapes not only helps children identify and organize visual information, but also helps them learn skills in other curriculum areas such as Reading, Math and Science. On 15th February, students of Grade II learnt about solid and plane shapes through hands-on activities like creating shapes by moulding clay and by observing objects with different shapes. It was fun comparing faces, vertices and edges of different solid shapes.
