On 6th January, 2022 the students of Grade IV had a guest speaker session on the topic ‘Water borne diseases’, pertaining to water in connection to their present line of study in PBL, i.e. How do you create a System that provides safe Drinking Water to all at a low cost? The guest speaker Dr Kalyan Yamani MBBS DNB (GENERAL MEDICINE) General physician and Diabetologist briefed the students on how water can make the body or break the body. It was an intriguing session where he dealt with contamination of water and sources of contamination and also presented the information in an organized flow from contamination of water which leads to various diseases to preventive measures and real life examples of how infections are caused. Overall it was a short an informative session.
