The lesser-known fact about this pandemic is that children are the most affected ones. Let’s take a moment to think about the little ones who are trying to make sense of online learning with their existing difficulties. According to an exhaustive study by UNESCO, the incidence of learning difficulties in India is likely at least between 10 and 12 percent of the school-going population. Keeping this urgent need in mind, a session was facilitated for the teachers of Grades PP to XII by Dr. Pooja Jha Nair on 2nd June 2021, who is a dedicated professional providing rehabilitation service to children with developmental disorders, learning difficulties, and emotional difficulties with over 11 years of experience. She is also the founder partner of Total Solution. In this session, Dr. Pooja briefed teachers on why learning difficulties are common, the signs & early indicators, and how to minimize the gap created by online classes for children with special needs as the teachers are the pillars of a child’s development.
