Children of Grade-I were introduced to 2 dimensional(2D) shapes in a fun and playful way on 23rd April 2021. They went on a scavenger hunt to find things of different shapes in their surroundings. The activity was an instant hit with children and they couldn’t stop showing the objects they found. Through this activity, children learned to recognize 2D shapes in real objects. As the saying goes, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn”, children learn best through hands-on activities. So, we asked them to make objects with different shapes and the little creators came up with some amazing creations like train, mouse, robot, rocket, etc.
