Ugadi is believed, traditionally to mark the arrival of Telugu New Year. On 12th April, we had a special Assembly for Ugadi organized by the Telugu department and students. Students narrated how the festival is celebrated through creative powerpoint presentations. They had an activity that encouraged students to make the traditional Ugadi pachadi followed by Panchanga Sravanam. Songs and dances were presented to mark the occasion. Technology too crept in, in the form of pollev.com, which was used to conduct a quiz for the audience imparting values of the festive season.
