Learners of Stage 4A and 4B took up the challenge on: ‘What does my lunch cost?’ They researched on weather, rainfall conditions and seasons in which crops are grown. Learners collected picture examples for a display of farming in their chosen country and produced written descriptions. They also developed evaluation and research skills by researching on ‘How growing food affects the natural environment? What impact does this have on local wildlife? How does growing food use a lot of valuable resources such as water? What problems does food production cause?
