A limerick is a humorous poem of five lines. They consist of a single stanza, an AABBA rhyme scheme and exactly five lines.
Learners of Stage 3 learnt about poems with different structures such as Limericks, Shape poems and List poems. They also learnt techniques like mnemonics to remember spellings of hard words. The learning outcome included creating their own Limericks, Shape poems, List poems as well as mnemonics
