Why is litter a problem?
As a part of Global Perspective challenge “ Looking After Our World”, learners of Stage 1 illustrated and presented a cause and effect thinking map to help display information about why litter is a problem. They communicated about the bad effects of throwing litter such as packets, plastic bottles and containers into the landfill and water bodies and how it is leading to pollution and problems like animals getting trapped or hurt, spoiling the environment and their habitat . They further explained that litter can be dirty and become a breeding ground for flies and mosquitoes spreading germs and diseases.
