Classification is an important skill to be developed in young scientists. Exploring living and non-living things is a great way to develop this skill. Learners of Stage 1 went on a nature walk to explore and classify the world around them into things that are living and non-living. They observed and sorted various living and non-living things they saw outdoors and recorded them in their science notebooks like plants, trees, spiders, millipedes, animals etc. This helped them to understand that a living thing is one that moves on its own, breathes and grows.
