The stories that we read aloud to our children are often their first exposure to the world of books, and it is the most effective way to inculcate love for reading at an early age.
Learners of Stage 1 had a great time listening to the fiction story “ Danny and the Ogre’s Seven Daughters” during their RP class. Strategies like I see, I think, I wonder were used to help learners identify the characters, setting and predict what the story is about. Children enjoyed the session thoroughly.
