We all know that science experiments help to develop a child’s resourcefulness, particularly their skills at goal-setting, planning, and problem-solving. It also nurtures intellectual curiosity, helping children acquire new ways of asking questions and understanding the world. To integrate all of these skills required for learning, the students of Grade VII conducted an acid, base and salt test, using the indicators turmeric sheet, litmus paper, China rose solution and phenolphthalein to figure out which product is acidic and basic. They explored many such natural indicators that we use daily without our knowledge. Students were excited to find out if all the products they use are safe by checking their acid-based nature.
