As a part of our curriculum, we have the Novel Reading Program for the students of Grades IV to VII. Students engage in reading a novel chosen for them and go to places with their imagination. The program enables children to enhance their reading skills. It also allows them to nurture their critical thinking skills, collaborate, get creative and accomplish the various interesting activities they participate in responsibility. Students eagerly wait for the month-long novel reading session and the novel becomes our train and plain and takes us places through the characters. This year we began with the “I See, Think, Wonder”, thinking routine and students collaborated in a group activity to help them connect with the novel that will leave them dreaming with open eyes.
