On 6th November 2024, Grade IV students dove into an engaging activity focused on converting mixed fractions to improper fractions and vice versa using visual representations. Fractions are a fundamental concept in mathematics, playing a crucial role in daily life—whether in cooking, sharing or even telling time. Through this hands-on activity, students discovered how to identify fractions in shapes and everyday objects, gaining a deeper understanding of how whole numbers can be broken down into smaller, manageable parts. The excitement and curiosity they displayed made the session even more rewarding as they enthusiastically explored the fascinating world of fractions.
