On 24th October, Suchitra Academy conducted a deeply insightful session on Suicide Prevention for Grades XI and XII, led by Madhu Manju Ma’am, Sparsh Coordinator and Child Protection Officer.
Addressing the topic with empathy and sensitivity, Ma’am helped students understand what suicide truly means, the warning signs, and how timely support can make a difference.
Through real-life examples, she encouraged reflection on whether suicide is a permanent solution to temporary pain. The discussion focused on managing emotional intensity, seeking help, and
supporting peers in distress, while highlighting the importance of resilience, self-belief, and mental well-being. The session’s interactive nature allowed students to voice their thoughts, fostering emotional awareness and empathy.
It concluded with a powerful message — to talk, listen, and stay connected, because sometimes, the smallest act of understanding can save a life.
