Our science students from Grades XI and XII were a part of a session facilitated by a guest speaker from Loyola Academy , Mr Dhiraj Kumar Sahu on “Chemistry in everyday life” . Students wondered how important chemistry is in everyday life. Use of zinc oxide in a sunscreen lotion to hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules of soap, enlightened them. Application of Nanotechnology, semiconductors and superconductors influenced the students to dive deeper into the subject. It was an enriching learning experience for the participants.
