School visits are always a great opportunity for all current and future school leaders to bring in a revolutionary change in education. In lieu of this, Suchitra Academy in collaboration with Future School Leaders, offered two of its staff members the chance to visit Rishi Valley School, Madanapalle. Nestled in a picturesque valley of Madanapalle, Rishi Valley School, run by Krishnamurti Foundation, India, is dedicated to drawing the teachings of the educational philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti into the everyday functioning of a school. Two of our staff members – Ms Kamlesh Bahukhandi and Ms Sowmya Sharda recently had the opportunity for a one-day school visit. The visit included an enriching interactive session with the Principal of the school, followed by a tour of the school. The session was a mutual learning experience with a healthy exchange of ideas and pedagogy. The school with its serene surroundings and rooted philosophy, transports one to a world of self-discovery and encourages one to experience their thoughts in quiet reflection. Overall, the visit to this school was an amazing experience.
