We had the opportunity to intern at Innerheal Therapy, Hyderabad, where we completed 25 hours of learning—16 online and 9 offline. This experience offered us valuable insights into the practical and emotional aspects of psychology. Through mock demo sessions on confidentiality, we understood the critical role of trust in therapy. We explored topics like communication, personality disorders, and the teenage brain, deepening our understanding through research and presentations. Observing live therapy sessions gave us a real-world perspective on how theory translates into practice.A key takeaway was learning to manage our own emotions—an essential skill for anyone entering this field. The offline sessions, especially meeting a real client, were incredibly engaging and informative. Under the expert guidance of Ms. Priyanka Jain and Ms. Neha Agarwal, we learned not just theories, but also the importance of empathy, emotional regulation, and ethical conduct in therapy. Their mentorship made complex concepts accessible and inspired us to explore the subject with curiosity and openness. This internship has sparked a deeper interest in psychology and equipped us with skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
