Field Trip to EMRI – Exploring Emergency Response
On January 9, Grade VII students embarked on a field trip to GVK EMRI in Medchal as a part of their Project-Based Learning (PBL) inquiry. The visit aimed to deepen their understanding of emergency scenarios and their solutions. Guided by Mr. Javed, a knowledgeable expert, students engaged in discussions about handling common emergencies like nosebleeds and received a demonstration on proper CPR techniques. The hands-on experience continued with students actively participating in CPR demonstrations to gain practical skills. Post activities, the head of the EMRI institute evaluated the students’ understanding through relevant questions. To enhance their learning, students explored an ambulance, with an explanation of its contents, providing valuable insights into emergency response.
This insightful field trip equipped the students with practical knowledge, empowering them to effectively respond and administer first aid in emergencies. It was a valuable opportunity to bridge classroom learning with real-world applications in the field of emergency medical response.
