Do you look more like your mom or more like your dad? Why do grandchildren sometimes look just like their grandparents? It all depends on inherited traits, which are passed down from generation to generation. Children of Grade II on the 7th of July enjoyed an activity in class where they started to identify the similar traits which they possess. They discovered so many similarities and differences with their family members. It was looks, nature and behaviour. The term Three-Generation Family refers to multigenerational family households where two or more adult generations live together under the same roof; this generally includes a grandparent, parent, and child. Children were introduced to the three generations with the help of a flow chart. The children drew the Family Tree with the three generations emphasising the term Paternal and Maternal. Through these activities, we hope to enrich our students’ knowledge and develop a deeper understanding of the topic.
