To add another blooming bud to the bouquet of activities, “The Kite Making Activity” was organized for the students of Grades I – III on 7 January, 2022 as part of the Sankranti celebrations. The aim of conducting this activity was to bring awareness about our cultural events among children. Furthermore, the significance of Makar Sankranti was explained to kids, where they understood that the harvest festival is celebrated across India and known by different names such as Pongal and Lohri. Students shared that the festival is about prayers, sweets, and kites. Kids were enthusiastic about making kites and wrote thoughtful messages on their kites.
