Reading alone is wonderful. Sharing a book with others who have followed a similar solitary journey brings a whole new perspective on the experience. It can open you up to different explanations and insights you may have missed. On 5th of July, Books Unplugged, the student reading club @ Umang, had a similar experience. The classic “Merchant of Venice” by Shakespeare was discussed by students who expressed varied viewpoints connecting the text to the world. Knowing Antonio, Bassanio, Portia and Shylock gave them an opportunity to analyze writing with fellow members.
