Grade IV tackled a critical issue on June 29th with their first PBL (Project-Based Learning) presentation. Their mission: “How can we create a low-cost system to ensure safe drinking water for everyone?”
These young problem-solvers dove deep into water purification methods, exploring techniques like filtration, distillation, and even UV light treatment. They didn’t stop there – they also investigated the causes and effects of water pollution, along with the intricate process of water distribution.
Their knowledge extended beyond the classroom walls – they even educated their parents about the vital role of water treatment plants. The presentation culminated in a lively song and dance, a powerful reminder of the importance of clean water. Most importantly, it sparked inspiring ideas on water conservation, leaving a lasting impact on their community.

Praveen Raju is the founder of Suchitra Academy an International school based in Hyderabad, India. She has taught and led schools affiliated with SSC, CBSE, CISCE, and Cambridge curricula, giving her a truly diverse understanding of education systems. Dr. Radhika believes that a child thrives when education is meaningful, immersive, and connected to real-world experiences. Her work has consistently reflected her belief that “Education is the most powerful tool to shape a better, greener, and more inclusive world.” She has pioneered tech-enabled learning environments, integrated sustainability into curricula, and developed frameworks that prepare students for academic excellence. A national award-winning educator, she has been honored with the CENTA Teaching Professionals Olympiad Award, Best Techno-Resilient Principal, and Changemaker Award, among others. With dual postgraduate degrees and over 10 years of diverse professional experience, she brings a blend of passion, lifelong learning, empathy, and care to her role. Sheryle’s leadership aims to establish a strong foundation for each child’s learning, behavior, and overall well-being in the Early Years. A dedicated and skilled Early Years educator, Sheryle has undergone various training programs to enhance her expertise in Early Years education and childcare. She has been an integral part of Suchitra for the past 4 years, beginning her journey as a teacher and evolving through various roles, leading up to her current position as Head of Early Years Segment. Kamlesh Bahukhandi is a University of Delhi graduate and holds a diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education & Primary Teachers Training. She has experience of over 20 years as a progressive educator. Before joining Suchitra Academy, she worked at ASN International School (Delhi) and Delhi Public School (Hyderabad). She believes that every child deserves special care and affection to be able to spread their wings to fly and that It is the responsibility of teachers to identify the talents, skills, abilities and interest of the students and nurture them in such a way that each one of them blooms every step of their way. To add to it, she stresses the importance of parents’ involvement in their child’s lives. This is particularly critical because learning doesn’t stops at school, rather it should be seen in the continuum. And it is both the teachers and parents who can make it possible by working as collaborators.

She has been in Suchitra for the last nine years and has donned several hats from a primary teacher to Coordinator. She is currently the Head programs and School Coordinator – Academics.

She is a dynamic leader with an enduring passion to help children reach their full potential not just academically but also socially, emotionally, and physically. She enjoys working with children of all ages, which makes her feel young and energetic. It taught her patience, compassion, sincerity, and open-mindedness. She believes every child is unique, and there is so much to facilitate them, which keeps her excited to give her best. Her core strengths lie in being a team worker and sharing strategies to cater to every student’s needs.

She is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the events and programs pertaining to the whole school within the spirit of the school‘s Mission Statement.
