On 29th June 2022, Suchitra Academy introduced the DEAR (Drop everything and read) program for the students and teachers highlighting the need for reading and how it can maintain a balance in a fast-moving and stressful life. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms. Priyadarshini Panchapakesen, a renowned author whose research published by UNESCO, is groundbreaking in the field of academia, inaugurated the DEAR Program. She also interacted with young Suchitrans and mentored them on how books can be their best companions. She stated the importance of why one must inculcate reading as a habit. Later, Ms. Priyadarshini conducted interactive storytelling sessions with imagery for students. Students responded with zeal and enthusiasm. The fervour was visible in the teachers as well. The program culminated with the Chief Guest signing the visitor’s diary at the school library as a mark of remembrance for the school.
