Make yourself a priority once in a while. It’s not selfish. It’s necessary.” ― Anonymous
When it comes to food you should definitely be your priority. Research continues to find clear links between diet and mental health. In fact, there have been so many studies that prove the importance of nutrition.
On August 27, 2022, the little champs of Grade IV concluded the second PBL inquiry along the similar lines, ‘How do we know we are eating right?’ with a well- researched presentation. Parents turned up enthusiastically in huge numbers to encourage the young learners.
The students emphasized the importance of eating healthy food through role play, explaining various aspects of food products, giving an eye-opening demo of food packages and their contents and choosing the best cooking methods to preserve the nutrients in food. The parents participated in interesting games based on the food groups, their nutrients, the importance of choosing healthy food and the winners were rewarded with healthy surprises. The presentation very well-justified the saying, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”.
