Students of Grade II are observing and learning about the nature around them with lots of enthusiasm and excitement. In the week of 17th to 25th July, students explored the various types of plants and animals that we find around us. Children researched where plants and animals are found, how they grow, move and help in increasing the beauty of nature. Children also tried to understand, what helps the plant to grow from a seedling to a fully grown tree, herb, shrub, climber or creeper, and what helps them to bear fruits, spread fragrance, provide shade and create a healthy environment. Further, students learned about the different kinds of animals, their food habits and their habitat. This inquiry ignited curiosity in the young minds.
