Empowering parents is a priority at our school! On June 22nd, 2024, we hosted a successful orientation for parents of Grades V-VII, diving deep into Project-Based Learning (PBL).During the session, parents actively participated in building a prototype together, they experienced the collaborative and creative energy of a PBL classroom. This hands-on activity highlighted how PBL empowers students with critical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
The highlights:
PBL Unveiled: They explored the entire PBL process, from the starting question to the final reflection – research, prototyping, feedback, and presentations included!
The 6 Cs of PBL: Ms. Sridevi and Ms. Roshni introduced the 6 Cs (Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, Citizenship, and Character Education) that PBL projects naturally develop.
Boosting Brains and Real-World Connections: Parents discovered thinking tools and extended learning opportunities that strengthen cognitive skills and connect classroom knowledge to real-life situations.
Subjects Working Together: It was discussed how PBL seamlessly integrates multiple subjects, making learning richer and more meaningful.
The session wrapped up with a lively Q&A, ensuring everyone left with a clear understanding of how PBL benefits students. A huge thank you to all the parents for their active participation.
