A secure understanding of place value is incremental and provides the essential number knowledge needed to complete addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions. Hands-on activities are great ways to reinforce place value in children. On 22nd December 2021, Grade II students learned place value through a small activity where a three-digit number had to be placed according to its numerical value in three different cups, labelled as hundreds, tens and ones. Students enjoyed this activity and understood the place-value concept comfortably in a fun way.
