Numeracy is an important skill to solve problems and make sense of numbers, time, patterns, and shapes for activities like cooking, reading receipts, reading instructions, and even playing sports. In the week 19th to 22nd , students of the Sr.KG class were introduced to a 3D shape ‘Cube’. Students were allowed to explore the shape by touching different objects. They held the cube, traced the square face of the solid figure, and ran their fingers along the edges of the cube. The reinforcement of learning continued when children were given clay and toothpicks to create the 3D shape.
