On 19th December 2024, Ms. Manju and Ms. Tanvi conducted a crucial awareness session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for students in grades VIII-XI. The session prioritized student safety and well-being, covering essential topics such as maintaining healthy boundaries, understanding consent, recognising different types of offenses, and their legal consequences. Students were also introduced to the school’s POCSO Committee, a valuable resource for reporting incidents and seeking support. Through interactive discussions, students learned the importance of assertiveness—saying “no,” respecting others’ boundaries, and standing up for themselves and others when faced with inappropriate behavior. This session empowered students with knowledge about their rights and the tools to protect themselves.
