“Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms; it is about understanding.” – William Paul Thurston
On 18th December, Grade IV students embarked on an exciting hands-on journey to explore the concepts of area and perimeter. Stepping beyond traditional paper exercises, they dove into real-world applications with curiosity and enthusiasm!
Armed with rulers, measuring tapes, and teamwork, they measured the perimeter of their classroom, calculated the area of softboards, and even sized up their textbooks. Collaborating in groups, they shared their findings and discovered how math connects to their everyday lives.
This fun and interactive activity not only made math enjoyable but also highlighted its practical significance. It was a week where math stepped out of the textbook and into the real world.
