Suchitra Academy celebrated 75years of India’s independence on 15 August, 2022 by organising a spectacular show filled with patriotic fervor and a festive feel. The program began with a grand welcome of the distinguished guest of the day Colonel Ajay Reddy (Retd.) by the NCC cadets. The proceedings then took over to the tricolour hue as our national flag was unfurled and all gathered sang the national anthem in unison. The medley of patriotic songs sung by our Grade XII students echoed through the MP Hall as notes of ‘Jai ho’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ reverberated across. To add to that, an energetic dance performance by Grade XII livened up the spirits and ignited the flame of freedom. The celebrations then continued with the felicitation of our Grades XII, X and Cambridge toppers who made the school proud with their impressive academic performances in their respective CBSE and Checkpoint Examinations. The mega announcement of TEDx Youth@Suchitra by Vamsi (Grade XII) built the excitement for the platform that allows exchange of ideas and dreams with its theme – “The Audacious Dreamer!”. The program concluded with a speech by the chief guest Colonel Ajay Reddy who emphasised on the role of a teacher in a student’s life. With a flawless hosting of the show conducted by Grade X students, overall, it was a celebration of patriotism, freedom and excellence with a dash of joy and fun.
